Bandwidth Calculator

Estimate how long it will take to download or upload a file based on your internet speed.

%
TCP/IP usually adds about 10% overhead.

使い方
  1. Enter the exact File Size and select the unit (e.g. Gigabytes). Note that data size is measured in Bytes (B).
  2. Enter your internet or network Bandwidth Speed. Network speed is usually measured in bits per second (bps).
  3. The calculator converts the formats to match and gives you the estimated real-world transfer time.

計算式

Bandwidth Math:
1 Byte = 8 bits
Total Bits = File Size × (8 × 1024ⁿ)
Speed bits/s = Bandwidth × 1000ⁿ
Effective Speed = Speed × (1 - Overhead%)
Time = Total Bits / Effective Speed

The Bandwidth Calculator resolves the common confusion between Megabytes (MB) and Megabits (Mb). Since ISPs advertise speeds in bits but files are measured in bytes, this tool accurately converts the units to estimate how long large downloads or uploads will take over a given connection.
