Geometry
Pythagorean Theorem Calculator
Calculate sides of a right triangle using the Pythagorean theorem
How to Use
- Select the side of the right triangle you want to calculate: Hypotenuse (c), Leg (a), or Leg (b).
- Enter the lengths of the other two sides.
- Click Calculate to compute the missing side.
Formula
Pythagorean Theorem formulas:
- Hypotenuse (c): c = √(a² + b²)
- Leg (a): a = √(c² - b²)
- Leg (b): b = √(c² - a²)
Note: The hypotenuse (c) must always be longer than either leg (a or b).
